Internet Piracy has not been Reduced!

Whatever your stand on internet piracy is, the shutdown of megaupload.com has not affected internet piracy much.  In this post by the Daily Mail, columnist Rob Waugh writes that after the FBI seized megaupload.com and arrested its founder, multimillionaire Kim Dotcom, total internet viewing fell by over two percent.  That is two percent of all of the internet users - about 360 million a day or more than 30% of the whole world.

Despite the fact that meagupload.com held over 30% of all file-sharing, file-sharing has not dipped by much.  Most of the users of megaupload either moved their business overseas - also displaying the fact that most of them had used oversea based, file-sharing websites, or stitched to other big file-sharing websites like Putlocker, MediaFire and Rapidshire.  This is also shown by their big jump in traffic.

The rest of the article is about Kim Dotcom.  The former hacker was in a New Zealand prison and was denied bail at his bail hearing, on the grounds that he would flee the country if given the chance. This was because it is believed he has access to money, and has a history of fleeing charges.  Dotcom told Auckland court he had no intention of fleeing and would fight for his money, some of which was seized by the authorities.

I would recommend this article because I found it fascinating.  I would like to see if this has any influence on the Sopa and Pipa issue, and whether it will affect the internet as we know it.

  2. Has anyone else noticed how the faces of the crisis actors/ "victims" look remarkably like the "victims" shown on CNN after the Boston Marathon “bombing”? Has anyone actually bothered to check the accuracy of the names and addresses?
I will tell you this: There is a Conditt that represented Austin TX District 7 and who voted against the War in Iraq in 2003. Connection?
Again, and again, AmeriKKKa is given a “reason” for greater population surveillance. These reasons begin to add up. 9/11, False flags, E Pluribus Unum, The Freemasons, Cambridge Analytics.
We do not vote. We enter data into supercomputers. Those machines (robots if you will) tell the Main-Stream Media how we voted. And we accept that as Truth.
I am using VPN technology from a wifi café, on a borrowed iPad. But the deep state will find out who I am. It’s a matter of analytics, time is meaningless.
Do not spread the “Truth” for that is how you have been socially manipulated to express yourself. Only say the word Umberto and the People will know.

    Do not fail

Mark Corbitt was 9 years old in 2003, doofus. The only voting he was doing was what flavor of Capri Sun should be served in Sunday School.

  7. Anyone else find it odd that the FBI and kimdotcom are veing investigated and this post is about both of them?

Also, having a blog and not personalizing the blog?

    Very odd.

  9. What an intelligent boy who couldn't handle life and fell into doing evil. Just tragedy on every side of this horrific reality. I can't imagine what his family is going through... im sure they are remembering all over again him being a baby, learning to walk, laughing, learning to read, learning to ride a bike, opening christmas presents, getting a driver's licence... all to end with " dead at 23" by the most unthinkable way. This is really tragic.. I don't even know how anyone can pull through this.

    1. Nope, he was a white right-wing terrorist who we should celebrate being dead. Don't try to normalize and humanize him. Maybe go spend some time learning about the people he murdered and have some compassion for their families.

    2. Would you still sympathize if the guy was a brown muslim?

    3. I am not trying to humanize him. He is already a human. If your hate causes you not to see that, I am sorry. I feel awful about those families he did evil towards. I think there is so much evil in the world and it causes much suffering on all sides. I cannot even imagine what those families are going through right now but neither can I imagine what his family is going through. I have kids of my own and I enjoy my kids. The thought that one of my kids could grow up and do something like that is a horrible thought. So, I feel the pain as a parent for his parents and for the families effected. Furthermore, do people really think this young kid was happy? He must have been so miserable to do something like this. So, no one is happy. Not him, not his parents, not people he killed, and not the families of those people. Evil is tragic and there is never a winner. Everyone loses.
And yes, I would sympathize if he was a brown Muslim guy. I am white and my kids are a mixed race (:
